March 22 - May 6 2025 Member Wizard Update

I have no excuse for my slackness in not keeping the Updates log updated othther than being busy and lazy probably in equal amounts. This should rectify the situation somewhat.

1. We corrected the Class Copy Student list so that the date the students are showed as having joined the new class is the date of the new class was created rather than when they first enrolled in the old class.

2. Replace the header logo enabled for website template. This means you can now have a different logo on your website template from that you use in Member Wizard on your invoices and receipts etc.

3. Purchasing SMS's now requires a card to be registered in Settings/Payment Cards. If sending an SMS message you receive a notification that the card top up has failed then you need to check that this card is both current and has the capacity to be debited for more SMS credits.

4. We've hidden the Retained Earnings button because it was causing a lot of issues by being incorrectly applied. If your auditor requires Retained Earnings to be identified let us know and we will turn it on for your organisation. We've also removed the minimum balance for SMS credits so the top up card is only used when there is a 0 balance and you wish to send an SMS.

5. The Tutor reply to address now shows in the Reply to address for the Tutor when a student sends then an email but only if the box saying Allow Email display in the Edit Tutor screen.

6. If you are typing an email and press the Back button at the bottom of the form you will now not lose the email you have just typed if you wish to return to the member list to add further recipients or change the filter you used to select members. If you leave the Email Members screen however you will lose the message.

7. If a member joins online and the system detects that they are already a member it will warn them that they are already in the database with the same first, last name and email and ask if they wish to continue. If the member is added in Member Wizard the same message appears but adds further to ask if the user wishes to create a duplicate member who may need to be merged.

8. Members can now delete a previously advised Absence through the Member Portal and by a user in the back end of Member Wizard.

9. Organisations can now add a Joining Fee to the new members in Settings/New Member Application. This fee will not be prorata-ed if the annual membership fee has a pro rata setting in the New Member Application form. It will only be charge when joining and will automatically be added to the membership fee invoice in the back end of Member Wizard and online.

10. The Print Attendance sheet function has been fine tuned so that it appears in a more usable form for a large number of weeks. 

11. Event Organisers can now be configured in the Create Event screen to receive a notification each time a new person registers for the Event.

12. The enrol in a class function has now been completely re written. Students now have a floating shopping cart which follows them down the web class list when they enrol. When they have finished selecting courses they are advised to click on the Shopping Trolley and check out. This should help the situation where students were not completing the enrolment process correctly and were therefore not enrolled in classes. 

13. The Mark Attendance Sheet function now shows a total for those currently present in the class at the bottom of the list.

14. Spaces are now permitted in Custom Field names.
