Creating a Class Brochure

You can create a complete brochure of all your classes for export to Word which can then be formatted to suit your requirements.

Simply click Classes/Class Brochure, select the period you wish the brochure to cover then choose the sort order for the output - By Subject/Class or By Day of the Week/Class name then click Generate Brochure.

The brochure will be generated and downloaded to your device.

You will see a messages which pops up as the document opens. This is for the generation of the table of Contents. Please just answer Yes.

Please make sure you check that items start on the correct page - no headings on one page with the class details on the following page. If that happens insert a page break at the very beginning of the line containing the heading and it will move onto the next page. Try not to use the return key to do this.

If you do move classes/courses onto another page you may need to regenerate the table of contents to ensure the pagination is correct. To do this, go to the Table of Contents right click on the Table of Contents and click on the Update Field option.

You will then be asked if you want to update the page numbers only or the entire table. If you are just updating page numbers then select that option. If you make any other alterations to the document such as adding page breaks and moving content you should return to the Table of Contents but select Update entire table.

If you wish to change the font size or type of the description of the classes place your cursor in the text and on the Home page of Word select Styles. You will see that the style called Normal is selected. Edit this style to the size and type of font you wish to use and save the style. Everywhere in the document that the Normal style is used will then be updated. This also applies to the headings if you wish those also to be updated.
