Using a Stripe reader

Stripe make a terminal which wirelessly connects to your device and which will allow you to accept credit/debit card payments via either tapping or inserting them in the reader. The device is not inexpensive so it may only be appropriate for larger organisations with a high level of Stripe transactions.

The reader we have configured and which connects wirelessly to  your computer device is the Stripe S700.

There is a $50 plus GST annual charge for connecting a Stripe card reader attached to your account.

HOW TO SET UP YOUR STRIPE s700 CARD READER TO USE WITH MEMBER WIZARD

1. Your Stripe card reader connects directly to Stripe (not your computer) over the internet so you must have an internet connection to use it.

2. Connect the reader to power by plugging in the USB C cable into the port on the left hand side of the reader and plugging it into a power point. A full battery will last about 15 hours on average. The LED indicator will change to yellow if the battery is low and red if it is critically low. It will flash blue when charging and be green when fully charged with power connected.

3. After the reader is fully charged, hold down the power button on the right hand side until the screen turns on. If the device goes to sleep this button will also wake it.

4. To turn the reader off hold down the power button till the power off option appears on the screen and then select it.

5. Its suggested you leave the device plugged in and on charge when not in use so it can stay fully charged and get software updates.
